We are all in this together!

It's hard for me or my friends to ask for anything. People that I call good friends can be counted on one hand with three fingers and thumb left over. These are people that I have known for 20 years or more and we have a lot of history between us.

One of my closest and dearest friends, Luke, has been plagued with health issue and his medical bills and prescription fees are crazy. He needs $10,800 a month just for his prescription meds.

He has the most expensive health plan his employer can provide. Full cover and it is not cheap, more than $1600 a month. Only in America can you pay $1600 a month for health insurance only to be denied emergency surgery and life saving medication.

My friends parents are retired and they have helped as much as they can and they have hired an attorney to sue the insurance company for denying his claims.

To this end, my friends mother has started a Go Fund Me page to help with the medical cost.

Luke is one of the good ones. He's a good and decent family man and he would give a stranger his last dime. I'm proud to call him one of my best friends.
